The de frates & Ravensdale family tree came about because I have always  wondered where my family originated from, I am still none the wiser although I  now know that the de Frates were in Rochester Kent in the early 1700s but  where did they come from before that date?

The Ravensdales came into it when I married my second husband Malcolm Edward  Ravensdale in March 1994.  He wasn't interested in finding out about his  family tree until I started to look for his father's birth on the internet and  couldn't find it. Some very interesting things happened after that and we  found out he was born (OUT OF WEDLOCK)!!!!! Malcolm's grandfather (James  Ravensdale) had two families and each family consisted of 7 children. Neither  knew about the other until he died!?!?
